Johnny Depp's Pirates Save Walt Disney Studios

Hollywood had been in a boxoffice revenue slump for three years running until the spring of 2006. It took the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest a Walt Disney Studios film, starring Johnny Depp as Pirate Jack Sparrow and doing $133 million dollars worth of ticket sales on it's opening weekend to really prove that Hollwood's cash-flow crisis was over.

Johnny Depp leading the way for Hollywoods money moguls to invest $250 million in making Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest; it has been estimated that another $100 will have been spent to advertise and market the movie.

Johnny Depp, has redefined the term Blockbuster in Hollywood.

Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly co-star in this entertaining adventure.

Johnny Depp moved to France to live with his family when he is not filming in hollywood. He did this in part to be able to live a regular life, without the constant attention of the media. Now that he is at the top level of the acting profession he doesn't have to attend the many Hollywood functions that keep actors' images in the entertainment publications and in producers and casting directors minds, raising consciousness of their desirability for their latest projects.

Will Johnny Depp be content with merely being the most popular actor in the world? With his intelligence and ability to pick the perfect script will he become a director?
